collalloc is run by the Czech company opio a.s., based in Brno and founded in 2016 by Záviš Lacina. We make two product lines: bioactive marine collagen from North Sea fish (3,300 mg per dose, 95% absorption) and collalloc MIND, four functional mushrooms in capsules. Filled on our own lines; boxes assembled with the Finish Work cooperative.
Our story
Most collagens on the market have a molecular weight of 2,000 to 5,000 Daltons. The intestinal wall won’t let them through. They pass through the body almost without trace. The supplement happened; the result didn’t.
So we started with a single ambition: make a collagen the body actually absorbs. A bioactive marine collagen under 500 Da, hydrolysed using Swiss TRIPEPTIDE® technology, with a clinically measured 95% absorption. No fillers, no sweeteners, no colourings.
In 2024 collalloc MIND arrived: four functional mushrooms (Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps, Chaga, Maitake) in a single capsule for the mind, energy and calm. It comes from the same conviction. A supplement only matters when the body can actually work with it.
A note from the founder

I come from Dačice, a small town in the Czech Republic. Before collalloc, I spent years in the corporate world and at Czech Television. I always enjoyed making things with a tangible result, but for a long time I was looking for what to point that energy at.
Then collagen caught my attention. Once I learned how fundamental it is to how the body works and how little people in the Czech Republic knew about it back then, the decision was made. I literally started in a garage, packing boxes and looking for a way to make a collagen the body actually absorbs.
Most collagens on the market were, and still are, heat-treated. The body can’t really work with them. So I went all in on bioactivity: pure marine collagen under 500 Daltons, Swiss-hydrolysed, no fillers, no sweeteners. No chemical strawberry, no horse-sized doses.
In 2024 I added collalloc MIND, four functional mushrooms for the mind, energy and calm. It comes from the same urge to give people something that actually helps on the days when life is a bit too much.
This year collalloc turns ten. Ten years ago my plan was „survive the first month". The fact that the garage turned into our own production, our own packing lines, and a brand people pass to each other in the morning like a ritual still excites me. It’s the best reason to keep going.

Ethical sourcing
We make the collagen from fish off-cuts (skin, fins, heads) caught wild in the North Sea, parts the food industry would otherwise discard. Nothing wasted, nothing fished extra.
No fillers, no fluff

We make it ourselves
collalloc isn’t outsourced to an anonymous factory. We fill the sachets on our own lines in the Czech Republic and partner with Finish Work, a cooperative for people with disabilities, on packaging.
